I’m appearing at Sheffield as part of a conference on ‘Lost London’ in June (14th).

I did an interview yesterday for a magazine called ‘Vice’. I believe they also put out documentaries. The HQ is in New York. The issue is on ‘Catastrophes’.

There is a read through today (invitation only) of ‘The Man Who Became A Room’, a play by Sonja Linden, based on ‘Rodinsky’s Room’. At the Soho Theatre.

Off to Austin, Texas, on Tuesday.

Wed April 7. I take part in ‘Poetry on the Plaza’, in front of the Harry Ransom Center. 12: midday.

Thursday 8. Conversation with Michael Moorcock. 7pm. At Harry Ransom Center.

Michael Moorcock is one of the most popular and prolific writers in the English language, bringing vast literary invention to a host of genres. Best known for his fantasy and science fiction, he edited New Worlds from 1964 to 1980, making it into one of the truly important and experimental magazines of it time. Among his most acclaimed novels is Mother London, a triumph of the imagination delving deep into the multiplicity of London life. On a rare visit to the capital, the city and his relationship with its forms will comprise the core of the evening’s conversation with Alan Moore, the greatest graphic novelist of our times (From Hell, Watchmen, V for Vendetta, The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen). The event will be introduced by Iain Sinclair.

This event is part of The Story of London, a month long festival celebrating London’s past, present and future.
