Iain and Will Self in conversation at Foyles

Event page and ticket booking

Wednesday 6th September 2017 7pm – 8pm 107 Charing Cross Road Literary Event, Signing, Chargeable Event

Join us for this exclusive event with critically acclaimed writer and filmmaker, Iain Sinclair, and award-winning novelist and journalist, Will Self.

Iain Sinclair has been documenting the peculiar magic of the river-city that absorbs and obsesses him for most of his adult life. In The Last London, he strikes out on a series of solitary walks and collaborative expeditions to make a final reckoning with a capital stretched beyond recognition.

Will Self is the author of many novels and books of non-fiction, including Great ApesThe Book of Dave and Umbrella. In his new book, Phone, we meet the elderly Dr Zachary Busner – for whom the mobile phone is a mysterious object – and Jonathan De’Ath, MI6 agent aka “The Butcher”. Uniting our most urgent contemporary concerns: from the ubiquitous mobile phone to a family in chaos; from the horror of modern war, to the end of privacy, Phone is Will Self’s most important and compelling novel to date.

Iain and Will invite you to join in the conversation as they discuss their lives, their work and their new books.

Tickets: £8 per ticket or £5 for Foyalty members. You must have your Foyalty card on you on the night to present at the door. Not a Foyalty member? Sign up for free here.
Venue: The Auditorium at Foyles, Level 6, 107 Charing Cross Road
