LUD HEAT / CALOR DE LUD
The first integral translation of Lud Heat has just been published in Spain by Fire Drill, a small press based in Valencia. The translator is poet and writer Adolfo Barberá.
Iain will read parts of Lud Heat / Calor de Lud and will sign copies of the book and serigraph prints at the Contemporary Culture Center (CCCB) in Barcelona, on 12 December 2016 (18h30 – 20h00), as part of his lecture: The Last London: A City Abolished, within the Timescapes of Urban Change project.
Iain said about Calor de Lud:
“Lud Heat is translating into real heat in London, the guilty sweat of Brexit and the political meltdown of the whole establishment. The winners lose. And one of the opponents is now PM. Upsidedown world. In this Alice in Wonderland it feels just right, and exciting, to contemplate the exertions of a Spanish translation, coming out of Belgium, for an impossibly obscure, dirt-eating text. By way of Buenos Aires.”
